Years ago I read a life changing book called Truth and Method by Hans-Georg Gadamer that changed by life. In Truth and Method Gadamer talks about a concept he calls a “fusion of horizons”. This fusion is where two individual’s furthest understandings of truth (our horizons) fuse to create new understandings and possibilities. This approach to discerning truth is curious and non-combative in nature. It is collaborative, playful, and always evolving.
This blog is an attempt to create a space for exploring ideas and concepts that interest me, but in a way that invites participation and dialogue. My hope is that my writing will be a representation of how my horizons are expanding and merging with the horizons of other artists, thinkers, and creators and that this will also help expand your own horizons as well.
